NLP Six Sigma 360 Degree Feedback Tip The Balance LAB Profiling

360° Feedback

360° Feedback is a powerful way of achieving strategic business and cultural change by clarifying the behaviours that are required to support initiatives and goals, taking feedback from multiple sources to collect perceptions about a person's behaviours and the impact of these behaviours. Feedback will usually be collected from the person, their boss, direct reports, colleagues, fellow members of project teams, internal customers, and even external customers and suppliers.

By gathering information from different people, it provides a complete portrait of an individual's behaviour on the job. One that looks at people from every angle and every perspective, in their roles as direct reports, team members, colleagues, etc. It is like having a portrait, a profile, a close-up shot of the face, and a view from the back - all in one. Typically the information gathered is based on a person's skill, knowledge and style. However any 'gap' in performance can be included in the feedback.

360° Feedback can be positioned within both a Business Improvement Programme as well as part of an individual's Professional Development Plan. In both cases, taking feedback about performance in this way sends a clear message to people throughout the organisation about what is important, what will be evaluated and what is rewarded.
